Liquid Solutions' Frequently Asked Questions
There are a few questions we get asked a lot here at Liquid Solutions so I though I aught to write a few of them down to make it easier on everyone.
Q: The shipper tried to deliver the order three times but is now sending back to you. What are my options?
A: Shipping alcohol is tricky and does require someone to sign for the package. You, the customer, need to provide an address that will have someone there to sign for the package. That is why I encourage EVERYONE TO HAVE THEIR ORDERS SENT TO A BUSINESS ADDRESS!! I know this not possible for everyone but it is the only way you can be sure that someone will be there to accept the package. IF they can not deliver the order that means the order will return to Liquid Solutions. The costs of delivery are lost and I (Liquid Solutions) can not recoup that cost.
If you need the order reshipped then there will be an addition FedEx/UPS charge to get the order redelivered. If you no longer want the package we can re-stock any items that can be resold at a 15% restocking fee. This credit does not include any shipping and handling fees that have already been incurred.
Q: Do you have a retail store?
A: No, we are a internet shipping company but we do have options for local pickup. That means we do not have a showroom for you to view all of the available beers but we do have an option for local pickup, see below.
Q: If I'm in Oregon can I pick up my order instead of having it shipped.
A: YES!!!! All you need to do is place the order on the website and choose the "In Store Pickup" option as the shipping method during checkout. Will-call pickups are by appointment. Please email willcall@liquidsolutions.biz to setup a pickup time.
Q:"Can you ship outside of the United States??"
A: No, our license only permits sales within the U.S.
Q:"Can you ship me a keg of ....."
A: No, Due to the laws in the state of Oregon we are only able to sell packages less then 5 gallons in size.
Q:"Can you legally ship to the state of......."
A: Maybe, the laws for alcohol distribution are changing all the time. Some states even change the laws county by county. If you want a definitive answer please check with your local alcohol control agency.
Q:"I'm looking for beer X but do not see it on your website, can you get this for me??"
A:I'll try. Having new beer brought into a market in small quantities is not easy but not impossible. Shoot me an email (sales@liquidsolutions.biz) and I'll see what I can do.
Q:"Shipping seems like a lot. Why does it cost that much to get a case of beer??"
A:Two things, first off beer is heavy. The average case of beer (24 12oz bottles) weighs 35lb and we ship some boxes that run up to 70. Second, beer is pressurized. That means that they are more fragile than say a wine bottle. The amount of packing material required to get it to you in good shape is significant.
Q"I have a FedEx account can you charge the shipping on my account?"
A: Yes, if you have an alcohol shippers contract with FedEx.
